Our Mission
Side by Side Arts is dedicated to empowering young musicians by connecting them with practice buddies in monthly cycles. Through this, we aim to provide a platform for musical growth, collaboration, and mentorship. Our goal is to foster a supportive community that encourages creativity and passion for music.
Our Purpose
At Side by Side Arts, our purpose is to create a nurturing environment for high school musicians to expand their musical abilities and form meaningful connections with their peers. We strive to break down barriers, promote inclusivity, and cultivate a space where individuals can thrive and express themselves through music.
Our Story
Side by Side Arts was made by two high schoolers, Shuman and Sydney, that met at BUTI Young Artists Orchestra during the summer of 2025. Our goal with creating Side by Side Arts was to create a community where high school musicians can motivate each other to practice and help each other out! We were inspired by seeing and experiencing the isolation that practicing our instruments can bring and how hard it can be to have motivation to practice. We invite you to join our community and help bring change by registering for a partner, becoming a chapter leader, or even just by checking out our social media!
